  • How do dental veneers work?

    Dental veneers can be done in either one or multiple visits depending on your preference. One visit:

    • Teeth are prepared very minimally
    • Composite resin is bonded to your teeth
    • Veneer is finished and polished to your comfort

    Multiple visit:

    • Shade or colour is chosen
    • Teeth are prepared very minimally
    • A mould or impression is taken and sent to a dental lab
    • Fully-polished porcelain (ceramic) veneers are bonded to your teeth a week later
    • Please note dental veneers may require additional visits depending on your preference.

  • What are the differences between composite resin and ceramic dental veneers?

    Composite resin is made of a modified plastic and glass mixture and can be bonded on the same day. It comes in different shades of white and is generally less expensive.

    Porcelain (ceramic) is made of sintered glass. It also comes in different shades, and tends to be more durable, aesthetic and stain resistant.
